Ok, so Nos now has a varied yummy diet and is generally a very happy chap. Why, oh why, is he eating his poop? he doesn't do it often and im not sure if he actually swallows it...eegh.. NE suggestions as to why he would do such a thing would be greatly appreciated. Love Brit and Nos x

Is he intentionally seeking it out, or does it happen kind of by accident? If it is getting on his dish or perches you may want to try some cage rearrangement. I'm not sure what would cause this in a parrot, in most mammals the first thing to consider is mineral deficiency. Doe he do it when food is available?

yip. he's got plenty of pellets and i give him fruit and veggies too. the poop is on the floor of his cage, not near his dish or perches maybe he does it for attention? i tend to make a bit of a noise if i catch him doing it.

If i were you, I would put a grate at the bottom of the cage that way he can't get to his poop and change the paper regularly. Usually any other animal does it out of deficiency. When was the last time he was at the vets ?
