Written By Amey, Edited and posted by CaptainQuark From Anag From www.anafricangrey.ca/foruman excellent tool for describing the severity of a bite from our grey friends. So here is is for all to use: Amey's Bite Scale Grade 0 Aimed but missed Grade 1 Just a pinch, could leave a red mark, but all evidence is gone after an hour or so – hurt your feelings more than your flesh. Grade 2 More than a pinch, skin is broken a little, but not quite bleeding… looks like it could be a good blood blister and you gotta know you're going to have a good bruise. And man does it STING! Possibly could still get a good scab even though it didn't bleed. Grade 3 Blood, a little, but not much. Nothing that a regular sized band-aid can't handle. Hurts like an SOB. Could be missing some skin. You think 'HOLY SH*T… if this is only a 3 I NEVER want to know what a 5 feels like'. Grade 4 Blood, deep and painful bite. You call your significant other to see if he/she thinks you need stitches… you wind up raiding the birds' first aid kit for guaze and wrap your fingers in vet tape… you use it as an excuse to not have to do dishes for a couple days. Definitely a cure (if not just temporarily) for a horrible illness known as MBS. Grade 5 Headed to the ER for stitches
