Baking Soda
AKA sodium bicarbonate is a white solid in powder form.
Used primarily in food production, it is also used as
-Air Freshener "in refridgerators and other closed spaces"
-Acid Neutralizer (eg: medical antacid)
-Fire estinguisher (when applied to the base of kitchen fires)
-Oven cleaner (when used in conjunction with white vinegar spray-Apply to a water/baking soda paste to help the walls and racks of a warm oven, then lightly spray with white vinegar(1:1 solution,) this will cause the Paste to "foam"), leave overnight, then wipe and rinse in the morning.)
-scouring powder that will not scratch surfaces)
Bleach
AKA Sodium hypochloride is a hazardous,corrosive chemical that must be treated with respect, used primarily to remove colors/stains in laundry. It makes a highley effective disinfectant.
It should never be used near or with any acid, as that will cause it to release chlorine gas which is deadly. The vapours from bleach are highley irritating to the mucaus membranes (lungs,sinuses) and protective gear and clothing should always be worn when handling bleach, Should only be used as far away from your bird as possible, in a well ventilated room, And should only be used by responisble adults.
AviClean
AviClean is an Water-Enzyme based cleaner
that is safe to use on cages,floors,toys,walls
No rinsing required (biodegradeable)
Dawn
Dawn has become famous for its use in water fowl rescue. It is gently used to remove crude oil from the feathers and bodies of birds that have been contaiminated by oil spills on coasts. With this in mind it's logical to assume its a very safe choice in a home with birds. It's also safe for septic systems

Salt in its fine grain form makes an effective scouring agent. For stain removal. should be used with caution on metal. As it is corrosive in the presence of moisture. Rinse after use to dilute its presence in the enviroment.

To Disinfect a cage
Use bleach (2tbsp per gallon), Mild Laundry Detergent(1 Tbsp per gallon) and hot water.
Rinse in hose after sitting outside(in sun)
To clean other things
a 50/50 Vinegar/Water Mix
