"Weevils are often found in dry foods including nuts and seeds, cereal and grain products. In the domestic setting, they are most likely to be observed when a bag of flour is opened, although they will happily infest most types of grain including oats, barley and breakfast cereals. Their presence is often indicated by the granules of the infested item sticking together in strings, as if caught in a cobweb. If ingested, E. coli infection and other various diseases can be contracted from weevils, depending on their diet." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WeevilSolutions when you find Weevils: The only solution I found was to buy the flour, grain, whatever, fresh from a high-turnover store and as soon as I get it home, I open and empty it into a appropriately sized Tupperware (plastic with very tight fitting lid) container. If I can't find a container for smaller bags, I put the unopened bags into a ziptop freezer bag, then into the freezer.
Or if you throw it out, with the weevils in a tubberware container move the bag FAR from your home. So they dont start setting up Houses etc around the home Information was found on AnafricanGrey Forum on a Topic.www.anafricangrey.ca/forumInformation from Mama2manymouths
