Chocolate

Chocolate poisening first affects the bird's digestive system, causing vomiting and diarrhea.As the condition progresses. the bird's central nervous system is eventually affected, first causing Seizures and eventually death.

Believe it or not, Apples-along with other members of the rose family including cherries,peaches,apricots, and pears. Contain trace amounts of cyanide within their seeds. While the fruit of the apple is fine there may be pesticide's present on the fruit's skin. Be sure to thoroughly cleanse and core any apple pieces.

Alcohal depresses the organ systems of birds, can be fatal. Please lock up birds when serving alcohal.

Mushroom's are a type of fungus, and have been known to cause digestive upset in companion birds. Stems and caps of some varieties can induce liver failure.

Tomatos, like potatoes and other nightshade's have a tasty fruit that is fine as a tasty treat, the stems and leaves,vines, are however highley toxic, make sure plant is washed and removed from vines,stems,leaves.(when serving potatoes please make sure to cook them, as raw potatoes are toxic ! )
