So, I am wondering .. Why did you choose a GCC, and what attracted you into actually getting one ? I think this should be a very good topic, for anyone looking at getting a GCC Just because it may show the qualities of a GCC to people, and for them to think about why they want to get one ! The reason I got Cinder, is because ... i was on the market to getting a Parrot, I didn't really want a cockatiel.. even if i do love them, and I wasn't sure what i would get.. I never expected to get a 'velcro parrot' And Cinder seemed like the perfect fit for me anyway's, I don't mind the nippyness.... The real click was when I went to go meet him at the breeders, That moment my dad and me put a deposit down. I also love Conure's lol... For me their isn't to much of a reason, although But i will be interested in hearing you're stories !

I had absolutely no clue about what a green cheek was the day i fell in love with Nos.What drew me to him was his affectionate nature, but i think it largely has to do with fate and luck I told the shop owner to keep Nos for me, and furiously researched green cheeks that night. Everything I read confirmed what i already knew. Nos was coming home with me!

I actually had worked about 6 months for a pet store. We got in 2 new baby weaned gccs. One never would come to anyone but was sold to a couple who'd had birds for most of their lives. The other one was really shy but slowly coming around. he'd walk up a step or two and put his head down toward me. I figured he wanted his neck scratched so I asked him. at first I just got to use my finger to touch and lightly scratch his neck, but after a couple weeks when I'd ask if he wanted his neck scratched he'd scoot sideways under my hand and put his head down. I had already been totally facinated, but at that moment I fell completely in love with the little featherball He's now the light of my life hehe
