Does your GCC have a hut, tent, box or other similar space to sleep in? Since they are cavity-nesters and tend to keep their nests long term, it seems logical they would tend to like something like that. Also, Scooter started to get territorial about my keyboard drawer! I'm wondering what sort of "nest" he might prefer to have in his cage. Any ideas?

We use something like the birdie blanket from chopper's toys (http://www.chopperstoys.com/CatalogSleepers.html). It's just strips of fleece on a ring and my parrot climbs under it every night. We also have a hut but he never took to it.
I like this better for two reasons: 1. I can wash it whenever I want in the washing machine and 2. he likes to be able to nibble on all the strips as he goes to sleep.

Kiwi has a bed-tent with a wooden perch............it's triangular fleece with a wooden perch, open back and underneath. Sometimes, when she's in it in the daytime and hears me, she peeks out the bottom........we play "peek-a-bird!!"

I got Scooter one of those fuzzy triangular birdie bunker thingies and he loves it. He sleeps lying on his back in it! He still likes to "infest" my keyboard drawer, though.
