What is your green-cheek's favorite food or foods?
Scooterbird loves cherries! It's a mess, because he beaks all the juice and pulp out and tosses the skins down, but he eats all the ones in his dish up first, even when I hide them under other food. He also likes apple and is pretty good with green beans and broccoli and romaine lettuce. He rejected mango, much to my surprise. My husband has had a number of birds and says this is the first one he's known that got all enthusiastic about fresh foods. He's very happy Scooter likes them.
He also loves his hookbill food mix, but so far has not been interested in the handheld treats I've tried.

I tried brocolli with nos last night. He had no interest in it it had been steamed though, maybe he didn't like the texture. do cinder and scooter get it raw? Nos loves green beans and carrots. As a treat he gets a little banana or paw paw

Watson loves, loves, loves apples and apple juice. He also really likes oranges, bananas, carrots, broccoli but not a big fan of kiwi or pineapple. He really likes unsalted peanuts and tearing them apart.

Cinder isn't much of a fan of Kiwi either, and Nosferatu, Cinder get's his broccoli raw and cooked Also, Diane i would refrain from giving peanuts, inless it is just a treat Also avoid giving peanuts in the shell. Resources are : www.tarafoundation.com/birdcare.html

We give him a whole unsalted peanut in a shell that he likes to tear apart and eat for a snack...maybe one every other day. I don't think he really eats much of it, he just likes tearing it apart;) I'll check out that article though. thanks!

My Phoebe is a sugar junkie. She won't eat anything unless it's sweet. This makes it extremely easy to feed her all the fruit she wants (her favorites are strawberries, grapes and honey tangerines), but it makes it harder to feed her any veggies, which I know are important for keeping her from getting Conure Wasting Disease.
I'm just glad for Bolthouse Farms Green Goodness. It's made for people to drink, and it's basically apple juice with pureed spinach in it. I can't stand this stuff, but Phoebe goes nuts over it.
She also loves jelly beans. I know they aren't good for her, but I do allow her to have one every now and then around Easter time.
